Bryan Soerjanto

My name is Bryan Soerjanto, and I’m a senior studying computer science with a concentration in cyber security. My interests lie at the intersection of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, and I’m particularly passionate about exploring how AI/ML can be applied to enhance security measures.

Last summer, I interned as a Cybersecurity Engineer, where I contributed to the development of a security platform and gained hands-on experience with tools like SIEM and Elastic Stack. Currently, I’m working on a capstone project focused on privacy-preserving machine learning, utilizing techniques like homomorphic encryption and secure computation.

Outside of academics, I enjoy playing badminton and spending time outdoors. I love traveling, eating unfamiliar foods, and learning about different cultures. I started reading books, in particular, books with movie adaptations.

In the cybersecurity community, I see myself fitting into roles such as Security Analyst or Threat Intelligence Specialist, but I am also open to roles like Researcher, and Digital Forensics. I thrive in analyzing data to detect and mitigate risks and enjoy building solutions that improve security workflows. I envision collaborating closely with incident response teams, network engineers, and SOC analysts to ensure smooth communication and effective issue resolution.

Based on the CyberGEN.IQ Assessment, I have flexibility in both initiating and responding. I scored higher on exhaustive than real-time. This highlights my strengths in strategic thinking, analytical problem-solving, and tool optimization. I would defer to people who specialize in hardware-specific vulnerabilities or advanced cryptographic implementations.
